Looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon with your family? The Kenton neighborhood in North Portland is hosting a fun, outdoor hunt for rainbows.
This Kenton Rainbow Hunt is inspired by Italians making rainbow banners to show solidarity with their neighbors during their shelter in place. Out of recognition of the trying times we are all in, this event is meant to be a symbol of hope, as well as giving us something to do outside of our homes.
From March 22 through April 5, take a tour of the rainbows in Kenton. A map will be released with all the participating locations. Plan your route to drive, walk or bike to all the rainbows.
Do you live in the Kenton neighborhood? Make your own rainbow for your window, door, or yard. Then add your rainbow to the form here. The locations will be compiled and a map will be released on March 22. From there, new rainbows will be added every couple of days.
It is completely free to submit a rainbow and participate in the hunt.
For more information, please check the Facebook event.
