This event is not taking place in 2023.
After two years of hosting virtual and at-home activities, the Portland Rose Festival is commencing its in-person citywide celebrations with a free outdoor concert featuring the Oregon Symphony.
The Portland Rose Festival is back with all your favorite free and cheap events along with some new ones. One of the new events is the Rose City Reunion Concert. Come to the waterfront for a fun, family-friendly and free evening event.
Free Rose City Reunion Concert with the Oregon Symphony
The Rose City Reunion Concert is taking place Thursday, May 26, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Tom McCall Waterfront Park.
The open-air concert invites everyone to come out and enjoy a unique performance by the Oregon Symphony. The event premieres an original song “From One Rose,” written by Rose Festival Board Member Ron Carr and arranged by Emmy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated composer Bruce Broughton.
This event is free to attend and open to all ages. Blanket and low profile lawn chairs welcome. Bring your own picnic or buy snacks at the concession stands.
In case of bad weather, the performance will be held in the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on the same date and time.
The Portland Rose Festival has many more free and cheap events coming up, including opening night fireworks, parades, CityFair and much more. View my roundup of events so you don’t miss out on a moment of fun.
