Get ready for a Halloween experience that’s bright, musical and full of interactive fun. Schilling Lights on Lark display in Milwaukie dazzles visitors each year with an animated light show featuring more than 55,000 lights. The show is synchronized to music you can actually listen to and even help choose the tunes.

Schilling Lights on Lark: Request a Song at the Interactive Light Display
Schilling Lights on Lark has shows every night in October from 7-10 p.m. The display is created be the dedicated homeowner who enjoys bringing joy the community. Along with the synchronized shows, some nights have special costumed guests and movies projected on the home’s garage.
Here’s how you can get involved with the show:
How to Tune In to the Show
Bring the show to life with these easy ways to listen:
- Tune to 88.1 FM on your car radio.
- Listen from your phone by scanning the onsite QR code or visiting this link while you’re at the display. Downloading the app ensures there’s no music lag, so the lights and tunes stay in sync.
Choose Your Own Song
Want to take part in the show? Visitors can request a song from a playlist that includes Halloween favorites, current hits and classic tunes. Just visit the website or scan the QR code on site.
Make sure your phone’s location services are enabled. That’s how the system knows you’re at the display and ready to join the fun.
Celebrate a Birthday in Lights
If someone you love has a birthday coming up, Schilling Lights offers a customized birthday song and light show by request. To schedule a celebration, send them a message on social media at least 48 hours in advance with:
- The birthday person’s name.
- The date you’d like their lights to shine.
They’ll reply with simple instructions to make your loved one’s night special. The birthday show option is available now through January 4.
Safety Tips
To help keep things safe and enjoyable for everyone:
- Don’t park facing oncoming traffic.
- Avoid blocking driveways.
- Turn off your headlights while parked (but keep them on when moving).
