The March 11 lecture by Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor is already sold out. The enthusiastic response to her memoir, “My Beloved World,” has been unprecedented in the 12 years of the Everybody Reads program at the Multnomah County Library. For those who couldn’t get tickets to the event at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, just $5 will buy you a seat at the Portland Art Museum’s Kridel Grand Ballroom in the Mark Building, 1119 S.W. Park Ave., so you can watch a simulcast of Justice Sotomayor’s talk, 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11.
Tickets to the $5 simulcast are available at the Portland Art Museum Box Office.
Copies of the book are FREE at neighborhood libraries and in Central Library’s Popular Library. If you fail to get a copy before they run out, the library also has some e-book versions available.
Sonia Sotomayor is the first Hispanic and the third woman appointed to the United States Supreme Court.
