Sock celebration!
It’s that time of year again when all your socks that were swallowed by the drier or left behind in the locker room get replenished. And after the annual Fred Meyer sock sale, always held on the day after Thanksgiving — that is, the official launching of the Christmas season — there’s no excuse for not having a stocking hung by the chimney with care on Christmas Eve!
The sale lasts from 5 a.m. to noon and early birds get free coffee and doughnuts, as if half-price socks weren’t reward enough!
Other shoppers may be heading for the deals on electronics and other big-ticket items. As for me, I love the sock sale. I’ve been hooked ever since the time I bought $100 worth of socks, which was really $200 worth of socks! I was rich in socks.
