St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at McMenamins Kennedy School

Enjoy a weekend of merriment, fun and food during the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at McMenamins Kennedy School.

Since its 1915 opening, this historic elementary school has been a beloved fixture of Portland. It now boasts guest rooms, a restaurant, multiple small bars, a movie theater, gift shop and a brewery. If you’re looking for a relaxing activity, visit the Kennedy School soaking pools. 

On top of all that, Kennedy School hosts events all year long.

Here are the details about this two-day celebration open to all ages.

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at McMenamins Kennedy School

The St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at McMenamins Kennedy School hosts three days of entertainment, food specials and fun March 15-17, 2025.

Food and drink specials include McMenamins Irish Stout, Irish Fries Are Smiling, Irish Reuben, MacSleyne Irish Stew and Workingman’s Corned Beef & Cabbage.

Here’s the schedule of entertainment for each day:

Saturday, March 15

Gymnasium

• 12:30-1 p.m.Murray Irish Dancers
• 1:30-3:30 p.m. Two Rivers Céilí Band
• 4-5:30 p.m. Forty Drop Dew 
• 6-8 p.m. Blue Flags & Black Grass

Sunday, March 16

Gymnasium

• 2-4 p.m The Stomptowners 
• 4-4:30 p.m. Yeates Academy Dancers 

Monday, March 17

Gymnasium

6-8 p.m. Murray Irish Hooley 

Theater

7 p.m. Celtic Light Orchestra, the world’s only light up orchestra. Enjoy the dazzling performance along with a dance class and raffle. Tickets are $28 adults and $23 kids 12 and under.
