Get Your Stamps during the Washington Wine Tour
When you go wine tasting in the Portland area, chances are you take the trek out to the Willamette Valley for wonderful views and lots and lots of Pinot. Yet if you haven’t tried the wineries just to the north of Portland, you’re missing out.
During Memorial Day weekend, take a short drive to Southwest Washington for a wine tour. Just 10-20 minutes from downtown Portland, 16 family-owned wineries and vineyards will be pouring locally handcrafted wines May 25-27.
Participating wineries will have free passports available. Get stamps at three or more wineries, leave the passport at the last winery you visit and you’ll be entered in a drawing for prizes. Winners will be announced at the end of the weekend.
Some of the wineries will be offering special activities, such as live music and new wine releases. Tastings range from $8-$12. I recommend splitting your tasting with a friend or partner.
Explore a whole new part of the Portland metro and go on a leisurely trip up to Southwest Washington wine country.
