Enjoy an evening of swimming, tunes and tasty bites along the Willamette River at Audrey McCall Beach Splashdown.
Since 2011, the Human Access Project has been diligently working to gain access and improve this stretch of the Willamette River’s shoreline. After much trial and tribulation, Audrey McCall Beach is open and ready to invite water lovers to its shores for fun in the sun this summer.
Here are the details about this summer event.
2025 Audrey McCall Beach Splashdown
Audrey McCall Beach is right off the Eastbank Esplanade Trail between the Hawthorne Bridge and OMSI. This summer, make the most of this new beach access at the weekly splashdown.
Starting July 1, the event is every Tuesday through August from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Here’s what you can expect:
- PopCart PDX, a bike pulled and battery powered DJ booth, and DJ Carlos fill the summer air with your splashdown playlist.
- Food carts fuel your fun with tasty snacks and meals.
- Free life jackets keep the fun rolling for everyone.
- The beach is perfectly situated for stunning downtown sunset views.
- Plus, the beach is easy to walk or bike to with free angle parking on SE Madison and SE Main.
Pack your towel, mat or chairs for lounging, a floatie and water shoes for a memorable night on the water.
Audrey McCall Beach is just South of the Hawthorne Bridge on the East bank of the Willamette River. For more information about this event, visit the Human Access Project.
