Celebrate 4th of July all day in Lake Oswego. The city is hosting a parade and festival as well as a concert.
From morning till night, the city comes alive with lots of festivities that capture the essence of American patriotism and community spirit. Families and friends gather to enjoy a day filled with parades, live music, delicious food, and a vibrant concert.
Let’s explore the highlights of Lake Oswego’s Independence Day celebrations.
2026 4th of July Celebration in Lake Oswego
Star Spangled Parade
This 4th of July, don your patriotic colors and join friends and neighbors for the annual Star Spangled Parade. The event features festive floats, musical entertainment, vibrant vehicles and costumed canines marching down A Avenue to Millennium Plaza Park via Second Street.
The parade steps off from Lake Garden Court and then travels to Chandler and 10th Street onto A Avenue. The route then proceeds onto Second Street to Millennium Plaza Park.
The Star Spangled Parade begins at 10 a.m.
Star Spangled Celebration
After the parade, head to Millennium Plaza Park for lots of free festivities at the Star Spangled Celebration from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Activities include:
- Live music.
- National Anthem.
- Pie eating contest at noon. You can register to participate at 10:30 a.m. onsite.
- Local food vendors.
- Face painting and activities for kids.
Millennium Plaza Park is at 200 1st St. in Lake Oswego.
Star Spangled Concert
This year, there will not be a laser light show at this event. Instead, dance the night away with Dancehall Days, a high-energy Portland-based cover band known for their dynamic performances and crowd favorites, from 7-10 p.m. at Foothills Park.
There’s also food trucks, face painting, balloon twisting and a photo booth for everyone to enjoy before the music starts at 8 p.m.
Foothills Park is at 199 Foothills Road in Lake Oswego.
