Belmont Books partnered with McMenamins Kennedy School for a special event centered around book lovers. Those looking to read more in the new year or eager to discover new stories are invited to attend the upcoming fiction book swap. This event offers participants a chance to transform their old fiction books into new-to-you treasures.
Here’s how to participate:
Fiction Book Swap at McMenamins Kennedy School
The Fiction Book Swap is Sunday, February 23, from noon to 4 p.m.
This book swap focuses on fiction for adults, allowing attendees to bring well-loved novels and exchange them for fresh reads. Whether they enjoy thrilling mysteries, captivating sci-fi or heartwarming romance, they are bound to find something that sparks their interest.
Each participant may bring and take up to one tote bag of books.
Books you bring to the event should be in good condition—no stains, writing, water damage or strong odors. Creased spines and dog-eared pages are acceptable.

- Literary fiction
- Contemporary fiction
- Sci-fi and fantasy
- Romance
- Thrillers and horror
- Mystery
- General fiction
What Not to Bring
While all books are appreciated, this swap is exclusively for adult fiction. Attendees should not bring nonfiction books, such as memoirs, biographies, self-help or history, or children’s books.
Get Your Ticket
Tickets are $10 per person. Children accompanying adults do not need a ticket.
