Canby Haunt, formerly Clackamas County Scare Fair, is transforming Clackamas County Fairgrounds from fun to freaky for a few nights of fright in October.

Canby Haunt features a themed haunted house hosted by the creative minds of Creatures of the Night. The team has put their noses to the headstone for special scares at the Clackamas County Fairgrounds.

2022 Canby Haunt

Haunted House

The haunted house theme is Knock Knock. Step back in time as this attraction harkens Halloween’s past. Survive 80’s horror film trick-or-treat houses; 1950’s atomic Cold War bunkers; clanking, damp, infested castles; raven-haunted graveyards; caves with creatures dancing in the shadows; and spiders telling the first scary stories carried by the wind and smoke of primordial campfires. Travel to the fairgrounds and see if you can survive the haunt. 

The haunted house lets you choose your level of fright. Each group can change their experience from terrifying to family friendly with the Creature Candle. The Creature Candle makes the monsters scared of you and provides safe passage through the haunted house. If it’s getting a bit too spooky, simply turn on your candle and the monsters will retreat into the shadows. Switch off the light to let the nightmare continue. 

Haunt Jr

To take the scares down a notch, visit during Haunt Jr nights. On Saturdays from 7-8 p.m., families with children 12 and under can experience a more brightly lit and friendly haunted house that provides only laughter and delight. 

Dates

The Clackamas County Scare Fair Haunted House is taking place every weekend in October from 7-10 p.m. Dates include:

• October 7-8
• October 14-15
• October 21-22
• October 28-29

The event may release more dates and hours depending on ticket demand. 

Tickets

Canby Haunt is a walk-through event. You will choose your time slot for your visit during your online ticket purchase. Keep in mind the first hour on Saturdays 7-8 p.m. is dedicated to Haunt Jr.

Tickets are $20 per person. Haunt Jr nights are $17 per person. Creature Candles are $6. Parking is free.
