Take a scenic trip through Clark County on the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad fall leaves train ride.
A newly restored 25-ton switch locomotive transports passengers through scenic northern Clark County from Yacolt to Moulton Falls to Chelatchie Prairie and back. During the fall, the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad hosts special train rides.

Chelatchie Prairie Railroad’s Fall Leaves Train Ride
The Chelatchie Prairie Railroad fall leaves train ride is October 12-13, 2024.
Climb aboard the train and take a journey to see the fall colors along the tracks in Clark County. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. Choose from one of two indoor cabooses, or the recently rebuilt open air flat car.
Along the trip, passengers will see views of the Lewis River atop a hillside vantage point. The ride takes you through a 330-foot solid rock tunnel, with a stop at Moulton Station to visit Yacolt Falls.
Schedule and Tickets
Here is the schedule for the 2024 event:
- Saturday, October 12 at noon
- Saturday, October 12 at 2 p.m.
- Sunday, October 13 at noon
- Sunday, October 13 at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for military and seniors, and $13 for children 3-12. Kids under 3 ride for free.
The train ride starts at 207 N Railroad Ave. in Yacolt, Washington. Participants are asked to arrive 15-20 minutes before departure time.
