Do you have some clothing that needs mended? Instead of getting rid of or stuffing items in the back of your closet, attend Kindred Homestead Supply’s community mending circle.
The downtown Vancouver business is a low-waste, bulk refillery for your home and personal care needs. You bring your own containers and fill them up with a variety of household goods. In addition to bulk products, the local shop sells low-waste and sustainably made home goods, secondhand and vintage items, and locally made artwork.
Kindred Homestead Supply hosts events each month. Here are the details about the mending circle.
Community Mending Circle at Kindred Homestead Supply
On Sunday, February 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., get hands-on help repairing your clothing at the community mending circle. This event is free to attend.
Bring in your well-loved pieces of clothing to mend. Kindred Homestead Supply will provide all the materials needed to fix any of those holes, snags and stains. Volunteers will be at the event to offer their help.
If you’re knowledgable about clothing repair, consider volunteering at the event.
Kindred Homestead Supply is located at 606 Main St. in Vancouver.
