Leach Botanical Garden invites you to step inside the historic home during open house events this winter.
Leach Botanical Garden is a natural oasis nestled in Southeast Portland. The 16-acre estate features more than 2,000 plant species growing along the banks of Johnson Creek. Adding to the unique charm is the historic manor house, stone cabin, bridge crossing and gift shop.
Stroll among the treetops on the aerial treewalk and see a whole new side of the garden at the fireside arbor and terrace, and pollinator garden in the upper garden.
On select days, you can also get step inside the historic Manor House.
Open House at Leach Botanical Garden
Leach Botanical Garden is a testament to the extraordinary lives of John and Lilla Leach, who gifted the property to the City of Portland to be developed as a botanical park and museum. At the heart of the garden is the Manor House. John and Lilia’s home garden remains essentially unchanged from when it was built in 1936. Here’s how you can tour the inside.
The garden is hosting open house events on select Saturdays this winter.
The open house is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Here are the upcoming dates:
- January 27
- February 3
- February 17
- February 24
Also, the February open house events include a free kid’s craft.
Admission to the garden is $5 for adults and youth and free for kids five and under.
The garden is located at 6704 SE 122nd Ave. in Portland. For more information, visit Leach Botanical Garden’s website.
