Priding itself as Portland’s original “shop local” district, the Hawthorne Street Fair is one of the oldest and biggest street fairs in Portland.
Starting in 1984 with a guitarist and a few local organizations, the event now features 150 community vendors and two stages of local performers.
This is one of several Portland street fairs that brings our city together for a day of summertime fun. Here are the details about the 2025 event.
2025 Hawthorne Street Fair
The 42nd annual Hawthorne Street Fair is Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The festival takes place along four blocks from 34th and 38th Hawthorne Blvd.
Enjoy a large variety of food carts, local shops, booths, kids entertainment and live music. This event features more than 150 community vendors, 25+ businesses and two stages of local performers at SE 38th and SE 31st.
I’ll post the list of performances as soon as it is available.
Street parking is available, but be prepared to search for a spot. Consider taking public transit or biking. I recommend bringing a water bottle (it’s going to be hot) and pack a reusable bag for any treasures you find.
