Portland Parks & Recreation is helping you achieve your fitness goals this summer in our beautiful community parks. Fitness in the Park invites people of every fitness level to join in the outdoor fun.
Eight local parks are participating with fitness classes taking place on select days, Monday-Friday. Workouts range from Zumba to yoga to cardio and strength training.
Fitness in the Park takes place from May-August in 2025. People of all fitness levels and ages 14 and up are welcome.
Here are the participating parks and class schedules:
2025 Fitness in the Park Locations
This year, Fitness in the Park is free thanks to the Parks Levy. You may be asked to answer a short demographic questionnaire before participating in classes this summer.
You do not need to register to participate. I’ve included where the fitness classes are held in each park below.
Columbia Park
N Lombard St. and Woolsey Ave.
Classes are held around the trees by the baseball diamond.

Gabriel Park
SW 45th Avenue and Vermont Street
Classes are held in Little Gabriel Park.

Irving Park
NE 7th Avenue and Fremont Street
May 12–August 29: Classes are by the playground in the trees. In case of rain, class is under the covered basketball court.
