As COVID-19 numbers increase this fall and winter, have your testing kits ready. Here’s how you can get free tests this fall.
Take the hassle out of testing for COVID-19. You can once again get free testing kits sent right to your home. Here’s how:
Free At-Home COVID-19 Testing Kits
Starting September 25, 2023, every U.S. household is eligible to receive four free at-home COVID-19 tests. Limit one order per household.
The tests are completely free. There are no underlying costs, shipping fees, and no credit card or health insurance necessary.
Each order includes four individual rapid antigen COVID-19 tests.
To get your complimentary kits, go to COVIDTests.gov and simply enter your name and address. Need help placing an order? You can also call 800-232-0233 (TTY 888-720-7489).
Tests will be sent first-class mail via the U.S. Postal Service.
For more details about free at home COVID testing kits, including extended shelf life and updated expiration dates, visit COVID.gov/tests.

Just an FYI (had to investigate!), if you’re in an apartment cluster, the govt will have the group listed as 1 address. You may NOT be able to get any – I had never even been tested, let alone, ordered any tests and my error said my household had already received it (people upstairs)!
