Ponderosa Lounge & Grill in North Portland is the city’s biggest country western bar open to anyone 21 years and older. Since 1969, the lounge has been spreading its country roots by hosting headlining country artists and dance events as well as serving up a tasty menu of American homestyle dishes and your favorite cocktails at the full bar.
Free country dance lessons are a great opportunity to gather with your friends or have a fun night out with your main squeeze. Get ready to get down at one of these upcoming free country dance lesson events.
Free Country Dance Lessons
Every week, the lounge invites the community to cut loose on the dance floor. Free country dance lessons are offered on Thursday nights. At 7 p.m., learn one of several different country dance styles, such as line dancing, two step, or West Coast swing and cha cha.
Once you’ve mastered the moves, the country music jamming will continue till closing time.
On concert nights on Fridays and Saturdays, enjoy dance lessons with applicable concert cover charge starting at 7 p.m. Concert tickets typically range from $10 to $20.
To make the most of your evening, swing by the Ponderosa Lounge & Grill early to get some food, and a bit of liquid courage, during happy hour from 3–7 p.m.
Dance lessons are beginner-friendly and open to people 21+.
