Attend the Japanese American Museum of Oregon for Free First Sunday event. 

The Japanese American Museum of Oregon preserves and honors the history and culture of Japanese Americans in the Pacific Northwest. The museum educates the public about the Japanese American experience during WWII, and advocates for the protection of civil rights for all Americans.

On the first Sunday of the month, you can visit the museum for free and participate in family-friendly activities.

Free First Sunday at the Japanese American Museum of Oregon

On the first Sunday of the month from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., get free admission and hands-on, family-friendly activities at the Japanese American Museum of Oregon.

Visit JAMO’s current exhibition as well as the museum’s permanent exhibition on free first Sunday.

Also, the current exhibit is Made with Love: 45 Years of Ikoi no Kai.

December Activity

In December, there is an origami daruma-making station in the library. The activity invites you to reflect on the year and set intentions for 2025. Make an origami daruma doll to remind you of your goals as we head into the new year. This activity is all ages.

This event is free to attend and open to all.
