Portland’s very own amusement park has been bringing joy to the young and young at heart since 1905. In fact, it is one of the oldest continually operating amusement parks in the country.
In addition to free carousel and train rides and inexpensive roller skating sessions, the attraction hosts special events throughout the season.
Here’s how you can show appreciation for the service member in your life and make memories at Oaks Park this weekend.
Free Military Admission at Oaks Park
Taking place on Saturday, May 17 from 12–7 p.m., this special event honors the courage and dedication of our nation’s service members with a variety of exclusive perks and festivities.
Free Military Admission Day Highlights
In recognition of Armed Forces Day, Oaks Park is rolling out the red carpet for our military community.
Free ride bracelets for active, deployed and reservist military personnel and their immediate families (significant other and children under 18 living at home). Just present a current military ID at the ticket booth to claim your bracelets.
This special offer is only valid for active military, so be sure to bring your ID and enjoy a day packed with amusement park excitement.
Sweet Treats and Surprises
At 2 p.m., head to the carousel for free cake and balloons for guests, while supplies last.
Ongoing Military Discounts
Oaks Park supports military members year-round with these ongoing offers:
- Active-duty military personnel receive 25% off up to six Ride Bracelets, Mini Golf admissions, or Open Skate Session admissions.
- Veterans receive 25% off one Ride Bracelet, Mini Golf admission, or Open Skate admission.
