Zooming around the wooden oval rink to playful music with a kaleidoscope of colors illuminating room as we make a feeble attempt to defy gravity by holding on to friends and family. There are a lot of fond memories that come with roller skating.

Oaks Park Roller Rink: Go Skating for $12
Oaks Amusement Park in Portland has been bringing joy to the young and young at heart since 1905. In fact, it is one of the oldest continually operating amusement parks in the country.
The Oaks Park Roller Rink offers year-round fun for Portlanders with skating available six days a week. Open skate sessions are available during select hours each day. Make sure you check the Oaks Park website before the day of your visit to see what times are available.
During holidays and school breaks, the skating rink usually offers extended open skate sessions and fun family events.
Admission is $12 and includes conventional skate rental. Oaks Park recommends purchasing tickets online in advance. Tickets are non-refundable.
You are also welcome to bring your own skates. They will be subject to inspection by Oaks Park staff in order to protect the skating rink floors.
Food and beverages can be purchased at Rick’s Roller Rink Café during your session.
Oaks Amusement Park is located at 7805 SE Oaks Park Way in Portland. Parking is $3 on weekdays and $5 on Saturdays and Sundays. To book your skating session, visit the Oaks Park website.
