Amtrak train
Between now and January 27, travelers can book long-distance Amtrak train trips for up to 20% off regular one-way rates. The Winter Sale discount is good for travel on all of Amtrak’s 15 long-distance routes between January 22 and April 16. Reservations must be made at least seven days in advance and apply only to coach seats.

Portland to San Francisco, $69 (one-way)
Portland to Sacramento, $62 (one-way)
Portland to Chicago, $139 (one-way)
Also, Amtrak Guest Rewards members can earn FREE travel this winter. Earn one FREE round-trip for every two qualifying round-trips (or four one-ways) on Amtrak Cascades taken between now and March 1.
