Happy Valley Park is transforming into a family festival for the 4th of July. Enjoy a hike, parade, activities and a fireworks show.

2024 Happy Valley 4th of July Family Festival
On Thursday, July 4, the City of Happy Valley is hosting a daylong celebration at Happy Valley Park. The event is free to attend. Food and beverages are available for purchase.
Here’s the schedule of events:
9:30 a.m.
Join the Happy Valley Hikers for an Independence Day hike. Meet at 9:30 a.m. in the parking lot on SE 145th by the retention pond. It is a 2.6-mile relatively easy hike with minimal elevation change.
12 p.m.
Attend what has been dubbed the “longest shortest parade this side of the Mississippi.” Watch the parade from the sidewalk along SE Ridgecrest Rd. between SE 145th and the Happy Valley Park main entrance.
1-10 p.m.
Happy Valley Park hosts the family festival with activities, vendors and entertainment. Enjoy carnival rides and inflatable structures, musical guests, a variety of food and beverages, and a beer garden.
~10 p.m. (dusk)
Turn your attention to the sky for the fireworks show.
