Explore new cultures in a fun, creative setting at the Multicultural Kids Festival.
The event is hosted by the Slavic Community Center of NW, Inc. The local nonprofit helps its community members succeed in America through various programs and services. The organization hosts this annual event to promote unity in diversity by educating, entertaining, and connecting families from all walks of life.
This weekend, the festival celebrates our city’s diversity through family-friendly fun.
2024 Multicultural Kids Festival
The Multicultural Kids Festival is Sunday, September 8, from 2 to 7 p.m. at Ventura Park. The free festival brings together kids and adults from different communities for an opportunity to explore cultures, try foods from around the globe and learn about traditions.
The event is focused on cultural music, dance, fashion and talents. There will be kids activities, including a bounce house, petting zoo and crafts along with vendors, live entertainment and immersive activities.
Performances include:
- Ballet Papalotl, Oregon’s esteemed youth bi-cultural dance troupe.
- DJ Prashant, dance music, interactive dance lesson and performance.
- ArtMax Academy brings together music, art and language with a special performance.
- Winnie Chinese Dance Studio showcases dances from various parts of China, including Uighur nationality dances, Dai ethnic dances and Chinese classic dances.
