The Jade International Night Market brings together the best of Jade District’s local small businesses for a day of food, performances and activities. 

After a three-year hiatus, this popular event is back offering new opportunities to celebrate culture and diversity of the Jade District community.

Here are the details about the 2023 event.

2023 Jade International Night Market

The Jade International Night Market is Saturday, August 19, 1-9 p.m. at the Portland Community College Southeast Campus. The market is free to attend.

The event hosts more than 26 food vendors, including Peruvian, Mexican, Vietnamese, Indian and much more. More than 75 retail and community organization vendors will have booths onsite. 

There are also several family activities, including: 

• 1 p.m. Decorate a plant pot and take home a house plant, while supplies last. 
• 1-4 p.m. Splash pad for kids to cool off.
• 1-5 p.m. Free face painting and balloon art.

The highlight of this event are the live performances. See 10 different local groups perform at the market starting at 5 p.m. Here is the schedule of performances:

• 5 p.m.The Last Regiment of Syncopated Drummers
• 5:30 p.m. Portland Art & Cultural Center Dance Team
• 5:40 p.m. Chinese Friendship Association of Portland Dance Team
• 6 p.m. McDaniel High School Stomp And Shake
• 6:25 p.m. Cambodian Dance Troupe of Oregon
• 6:30 p.m. Ballet Papalotl
• 7 p.m. Summit Wushu Academy
• 7:30 p.m. Portland Taiko
• 8 p.m. Hip Hop Soulsation Academy
• 8:30 p.m. White Lotus Lion Dance
