Celebrate the end of winter at Nordic Northwest’s Vappu Celebration.
Since 1986, Nordic Northwest has brought Scandinavia to Portland through traditional food, entertainment, goods and activities. Visit the Portland headquarters for a special Finnish and Swedish event.
Vappu Celebration at Nordic Northwest
On Sunday, May 5, from 3 to 6 p.m., Nordic Northwest is hosting a free family event to celebrate the end of winter.
Here’s what you can enjoy at this event:
- Traditional Finnish and Swedish pastries.
- A plate of savory Finnish sausage and potato salad.
- Crafts for children.
- Entertainment including Portland Nordic Chorus.
Tickets are $10 and include all of the above.
Nordic Northwest has limited parking. The 50-space parking lot is open on a first come, first served basis and there is limited street parking nearby. Visitors are encouraged to take public transit or ride share.
