From now until the ZooLights exhibit is switched off on Sunday, January 5, the usual discount for Oregon Zoo visitors who’ve arrived by MAX train will be doubled. That’s $3 off. And be sure to pick up a coupon at the entrance for a FREE kid’s meal with the purchase of an entree at the Cascade Grill.
ZooLights features whimsical and beautiful images of all sorts of animals, illuminated with more than one million LED lights. For this holiday season only, while construction on a new train route continues, visitors will be admiring the exhibits on foot, following an extensive loop through the zoo. There’s even a twisting, 100-foot rainbow tunnel of light.
Along the route, warm up with a hot drink. At Sankuru Plaza, near the bat cave, flavored cocoas are $2.95. At the AfriCafe, Caramel Apple Pie Cider is $3.50. And at the Bearwalk Cafe, Hot Cocoa Affogato is $3.95.
ZooLights gates open at 5 p.m. Admission (before the MAX discount) is $10 for adults; $8.50 for age 65+; $7 for ages 3-11; and free for children 2 and younger.
ZooLights will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
