Portland Bastille Day Festival and French Market
Bastille Day Festival is a free, family-friendly event on Sunday, July 13, from 1-5 p.m. at Castaway Portland.
The event offers a wide array of experiences for all ages and interests, including food, entertainment and vendors.
French-Themed Market and Book Sale
Peruse the French market, where local vendors offer everything from artisan goods to French-themed crafts and educational resources.
The used French book sale features everything from timeless classics to manga to thrillers along with English-language books about France.
French Food and Drink
Taste your way through the festival with French and Francophone food vendors offering sweet and savory delights.
Family Fun and Kids’ Activities
The festival has an outdoor children’s area, featuring arts and crafts, games, and face painting.
French Immersion Schools
Thinking about French-language education? Representatives from local French immersion schools share information and answer questions about programs available throughout the Portland metro area.
Try Pétanque
Step into a classic slice of French life by trying your hand at pétanque, a traditional French game similar to horseshoes.
The event is free to attend and all are welcome. Castaway Portland is at 1900 NW 18th Ave. in Portland.
