The Pollinator Festival hosts a full day of activities for you and your family.
More than 40 agencies, organizations, universities, artisans and local businesses are participating in this free outdoor festival.
Here are the details about the event:
Pollinator Festival at Clark Public Utilities
The Pollinator Festival is Saturday, June 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event features garden tours, expert speakers, family-friendly activities and a variety of vendors who can help you care for our local pollinators.
Here is the schedule of events:
9 a.m. Festival kick off at the Marshall Park Picnic Shelter.
9 a.m.-3 p.m. Kid’s zone, children’s entrepreneur market, children’s play time with Columbia Play Project and Vancouver Urban Forestry pop up arboretum.
9:30 a.m. Clark Public Utilities Electric Center Bee Walk and Pollinator Garden Tour.
10 a.m.-2 p.m. Mural painting and performance art by eco artist Hill Kent.
10:30 a.m. Speaker Steven Clark talks native bees, who they are and how they live.
11:15 a.m. Speaker Dr. Erica Henry discusses the secret lives of the Pacific Northwest’s rarest butterflies.
12 p.m. Speaker Dr. Olivia Carril shares about the ecology of Washington’s Wild Bees with book signing to follow.
1 p.m. Speaker Dr. Doug Tallamy gives people ideas on how they can help pollinators with book signing to follow.
2 p.m. Join a garden walk at Green Schoolyards and VITA Elementary Garden Tour.
3 p.m. Festival closes.
The event is held at Marshall Park, 1069 E McLoughlin Blvd. in Vancouver.
