Portland Art Museum Free Admission Days

Get free admission to the Portland Art Museum during it grand opening celebration.

Located in the heart of downtown, Portland Art Museum is internationally renowned for exciting art experiences. On free admission days, our community gets open access to one of our city’s top attractions along with special activities.

From November 20-23, 2025, Portland Art Museum offers free admission during the grand opening of its new gallery space.

On Thursday, November 20, the museum is open late, offering free admission from 12 noon to 9 p.m. Friday, November 21-Sunday, November 23, free admission is available 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Activities

There is a full schedule of activities every day of the event. Enjoy meet and greets, happy hours, food trucks, art making workshops and live performances.

How to Get Free Tickets

Advance reservations are now closed. Free admission is available for walk-up visitors on a first-come, first-served basis November 20-23.

Another way to get free admission to the museum is through Bank of America’s Museums on Us program. You can also get two free tickets from the Multnomah County Library Discovery Pass. Children 17 and under always receive free admission along with veterans and active-duty military.
