Sign Up for Free Photos with Portland’s Black Santa

Black Santa is coming to town! Participate in this Portland tradition at these free events this holiday season. 

Leroy Barber, Portland’s Black Santa, took on the role in 2016. These volunteer-led Black Santa events offer a diverse representation of Jolly Old Saint Nicholas. In 2025, there are nine public Black Santa events in Portland.

Kids and families can take their photos with Black Santa merrily dressed in his holiday best. 

You need to register in advance. Your visit with Black Santa is on a first come, first served basis within the time frame of the event.
