Portland Thai Festival, known as the Taste of Thailand, is a vibrant cultural event that brings the essence of Thailand to our city through a delightful showcase of food and entertainment.
This festival is not just about savoring delicious dishes but also about experiencing Thai culture.
Here’s what you can expect at this weekend festival.
Portland Thai Festival: The Taste of Thailand
Portland Thai Festival is Saturday, July 13, and Sunday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
By presenting the culinary delights of Thailand, the festival aims to establish Portland as a premier culinary destination and a hub for cultural exchange. From savory meals to sweet desserts and refreshing beverages, the event offers a diverse array of Thai cuisine that promises to tantalize your taste buds.
The event features 40 vendors selling meals, desserts and beverages along with merchandise.
Event Schedule
In addition to great food and merchandise vendors is a full schedule of entertainment. Here’s the schedule for Saturday and Sunday:
Saturday, July 13
- 10:45 a.m. Welcome speeches.
- 11:30 a.m. Thai boxing demonstration.
- 12 p.m. Thai select award.
- 12:30 p.m. Thai traditional dance.
- 2 p.m. Live music by JITR.
- 3 p.m. Thai boxing demonstration.
Sunday, July 14
- 11:30 a.m. Thai traditional dance.
- 12 p.m. Thai boxing demonstration.
- 12:30 p.m. Thai traditional dance.
- 1:30 p.m. Learn Thai folk dance, Rum Wong Loy Krathong.
- 2 p.m. Thai boxing demonstration.
