St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at McMenamins Kennedy School

Enjoy a weekend of merriment, fun and food during the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at McMenamins Kennedy School.

Since its 1915 opening, this historic elementary school has been a beloved fixture of Portland. It now boasts guest rooms, a restaurant, multiple small bars, a movie theater, gift shop and a brewery. If you’re looking for a relaxing activity, visit the Kennedy School soaking pools. 

On top of all that, Kennedy School hosts events all year long.

Here are the details about this two-day celebration open to all ages.

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at McMenamins Kennedy School

The St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at McMenamins Kennedy School hosts two days of entertainment, food specials and fun March 16-17, 2024. 

Food and drink specials include McMenamins Irish Stout, Irish coffee, Irish stout ice cream float, Irish Fries Are Smiling, reuben sandwiches, Irish stew, and corned beef and cabbage. You can also buy Devils Bit Whiskey, which is only available once a year on March 17. 

Here’s the schedule of entertainment for both days:

Saturday, March 16

Gym

Murray Irish Dancers * 12:30-1pm
Two Rivers Céilí Band * 1:30-3:30pm

Sunday, March 17

Gym

The Stomptowners * 2:30-4:30pm
Yeates Academy Dancers * 5-5:30pm

Theater

Celtic Light Orchestra. Doors open at 6pm. The show starts at 7pm. All ages are welcome. Tickets are $25 in advance.
