St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at McMenamins Kennedy School

Enjoy a weekend of merriment, fun and food during the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at McMenamins Kennedy School.

Since its 1915 opening, this historic elementary school has been a beloved fixture of Portland. It now boasts guest rooms, a restaurant, multiple small bars, a movie theater, gift shop and a brewery. If you’re looking for a relaxing activity, visit the Kennedy School soaking pools. You can also go back to school during a Kennedy School’s History and Art Tour.

On top of all that, Kennedy School hosts events all year long.

Here are the details about this multi-day celebration is open to all ages.

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at McMenamins Kennedy School

The St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at McMenamins Kennedy School hosts three days of entertainment, food specials and fun March 14-15 and March 17, 2026.

Food and drink specials include McMenamins Irish Stout, Irish Fries Are Smiling, Irish Reuben, MacSleyne Irish Stew, Workingman’s Corned Beef & Cabbage and The Good Shepherd’s Pie.

Here’s the schedule of free entertainment in the gymnasium each day:

Saturday, March 14

2-4 p.m. The Stomptowners 
4 p.m. Yeates Academy Dancers
5-7 p.m. St. James’s Gate
7:30-9 p.m. Death & All Her Friends

Sunday, March 15

3-4:30 p.m. Two Rivers Ceili Band
4:30 p.m. Yeates Academy Dancers

Tuesday, March 17

5-6:30 p.m. Michelle Alany & the Mystics
7-9 p.m. Ashleigh Flynn & the Riveters
