The Oregon Pacific Railroad is a family owned and operated freight railroad company. The company operates a special passenger train along the East Portland Division railroad line in Portland.
Put on your green and bring your Irish spirit aboard a special train ride through Portland.
St. Patrick’s Day Weekend Train Ride in Portland
On March 14-15, 2026, celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a scenic steam train ride in Portland.
The train travels along the Springwater Corridor next to the Willamette River. The ride will be powered by the vintage Polson No. 2 Steam Locomotive. To make this 45-minute train ride even more special, the interior features St. Patrick’s Day decor, fun kids’ activities, and adult and kid-friendly beverages for purchase.
You can also choose your preferred seating. Take in the riverside views from our open-air car or stay warm and cozy in the enclosed and heated coaches.
Schedule
Choose from four 45-minute train rides on Saturday and Sunday:
- 12 p.m.
- 1:30 p.m.
- 3 p.m.
- 4:30 p.m.
Admission
Tickets are $24 for adults and $17 for kids. Children under 2 ride ride for free on an adult’s lap. You can save with a family pass, including two adult and two child tickets for $74.
Your ticket also includes admission to the Oregon Rail Heritage Center.
The ride starts and ends at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center is located at 2250 SE Water Ave. in Portland.
