We see reports every day of the people who are working tirelessly to keep our communities safe. Amid our current crisis, Starbucks is brewing up the gratitude and giving back to front-line responders.
From December 1 to 31, Starbucks is offering a free tall brewed coffee (hot or iced) to any customer who identifies as a front-line responder to the COVID-19 outbreak. No purchase or digital coupon necessary.
The offer can be redeemed at Starbucks U.S. company-operated locations and select licensed stores.
Who qualifies for this deal? Those eligible for the complimentary coffee offer include front-line health care providers and first responders including:
Doctors
Nurses
Public health workers
Pharmacists
Dispatchers
Firefighters
Paramedics
Police officers
Dentists and dental hygienists
Mental health workers (including therapist, psychologist, social worker, counselor and more)
Hospital staff (including janitors, housekeeping, and security)
Active-duty military
If you are a first responder who plans on getting a much deserved pick-me-up, make sure you bring along your work ID in case you are asked to verify your front-line responder status.
In addition to this freebie, Starbucks donated $100,000 to National Alliance on Mental Illness to support virtual mental health resources for front-line responders. The company also has plans to surprise 50,000 front-line responders with care packages and Starbucks gift cards this holiday season.
