Stroll through a field of sunflowers at this Portland farm. Plumper Pumpkin Patch is hosting its third annual Sunflower Festival.
If you have never been to this farm, I highly recommend it. It has a wonderful small farm feel in one of the rare rural areas of Portland. The sunflower festival offers many wonderful photo opportunities with friends and family.
The Plumper Pumpkin Patch Sunflower Festival is taking place Wednesday through Sunday, August 11-15 and August 18-22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
At the sunflower festival, you can wander the paths through the 2-acre sunflower field with 15 varieties of sunflowers. The farm has many fun activities for kids, including visiting the farm animals, and playing on the playground. Plan on packing a lunch with you to enjoy a meal at one of the picnic tables around the farm.
Food will also be available for purchase, including hot dogs, roasted corn and the farm’s popular pumpkin donuts. At the end of your visit, you can pick a bloom to take home with you.
On August 1, the ticket price will increase to $15 per person. Children under 2 can attend for free.
Tickets are available for purchase on the Plumper Pumpkin Patch website. From what I can see, there is not an additional processing fee at this time.
Plumper Pumpkin Patch is located at 11435 NW Old Cornelius Pass Rd in Portland. For more information, visit the Plumper Pumpkin Patch website.
