Weihnachtsmarkt: A German Christmas Market

The German Christmas Market is Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the German American Society of Portland.

The society’s German Haus will be transformed into a winter wonderland, offering delights for visitors of all ages.

As you stroll through the market, you’ll find charming stalls brimming with handmade crafts, delightful treats and unique gifts.

No German Christmas market is complete without indulging in the delectable flavors of traditional cuisine. Treat yourself to the savory goodness of bratwurst and pretzels or warm up with a cup of glühwein, the classic German mulled wine. 

Immerse yourself in the festive spirit as you enjoy live music and entertainment throughout the day. 

At Weihnachtsmarkt you may also encounter Father Christmas himself. In the children’s activity area, you can take photos with Santa.

Tickets are $5 per person. Kids 15 and under attend for free. Tickets are for sale online in advance and at the door. Online ticket have additional processing fees.
