The Elephant Garlic Festival is once again inviting you to stop and smell the garlic in North Plains. If you’re a fan of hometown events filled with music, food and fun, you’ll want to hit up at least one day of this annual festival.
The three-day festival is held at the Jessie Mays Community Park in North Plains. The whole community comes together to participate in the annual event.
Activities include a parade, live music, beer/wine garden, book sale, and food and craft vendors. Of course, there will be many delicious garlic eats and goods available for purchase.
The 24th Annual Elephant Garlic Festival is taking place August 12-14, 2022. Here is the festival schedule:

Friday, August 12
12-8 p.m. Crafts vendors open.
12-6 p.m. Friends of the North Plains Library Book sale, inside Jessie Mays Community Center.
12-11 p.m. Festival grounds, food vendors and beer and wine garden open.
3:30-5 p.m. Contemporary band The Bandlanders perform.
5:30-8 p.m. Americana band The Jolie Frank Band performs.
8:30-11 p.m. Country rock band Strawberry Roan performs.
Saturday, August 13
7-8 a.m. Oregon Road Runners Club 10 K & 5 k Run. Register at www.orrc.net.
10 a.m. Parade down Main Street and Commercial St.
10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friends of the North Plains Library Book sale, inside Jessie Mays Community Center.
10 a.m.-8 p.m. Crafts vendors open.
10 a.m.-11 p.m. Festival grounds, food vendors and beer/wine garden open.
12-1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.–2:30 p.m.: Visit The Oregon Reptile Man.
12-1 p.m. Bluegrass band Dark Star String Band performs.
1:15-2:45 p.m. Flamenco duo Vixen & Kitten perform.
3:30-5:30 p.m. Classic Americana band Joe & The Wheel Monkeys performs.
6-8 p.m. Classic country band Double Barrel performs.
8:30-11 p.m. Modern country band Slicker Country performs.
Sunday, August 14

10-11:30 a.m. NP Christian Band performs.
11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Acoustic performance by Tom Mann
1:30-3:30 p.m. Country rock band The Boondock Boys perform.
4-6 p.m. Blues performance by Norman Sylvester.
Parking
You may be able to snag a free parking spot in town. There will be a designated parking area at 311th and Commercial St. Parking is $5.
