Celebrate India’s Independence Day with live music, dance, food and other entertainment at Pioneer Courthouse Square.
The event is hosted by the India Cultural Association, a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing Indian cultural awareness in Portland, Oregon. Every year, ICA hosts the popular India Festival in the heart of the city.

2025 India Festival at Pioneer Courthouse Square
The annual India Festival is Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. This year, the festival returns to the heart of Portland.
The celebration is ICA’s largest annual outdoor festival in Oregon. Enjoy a full day of Indian culture, music, dance, fashion, art, history and food.
In addition to a full day of performances, there are hands-on demonstrations of bead bracelet making, Henna, Indian art, Rangoli, and a platform to learn new moves for classical Indian dance.

- Classical and Bollywood fusion
- Bollyjam with Deepali

- Folk dances
Organizers encourage you to prepare for the outdoor location by packing water and sunscreen.
This event is free to attend. Food and goods are available for purchase.
