Taste hundreds of hot sauces and see daring spicy food challenges at the Portland Hot Sauce Expo.
If you love the fiery sensation of hot sauces, this upcoming festival is bringing the heat to Portland. The Portland Hot Sauce Expo is hosting some of the best hot sauce companies in the country for a special two-day event.
2026 Portland Hot Sauce Expo
The Portland Hot Sauce Expo is August 8-9, 2026, at OMSI Bridge Lot. The festival is a chance to meet the makers, sample their sauces and buy what you like. To pair with your hot sauce tastings is a selection of craft beer and specialty cocktails along with food vendors from BBQ to vegan eats.
The event features live entertainment in the form of competition. On the Stage of DOOM, participants compete in a range of spicy food and pepper challenges. Professional wrestling takes the stage throughout the day.

1 p.m. Spicy Tacos of Hell Challenge
2 p.m. The Burning BBQ Pork Challenge
4 p.m. Spicy Pizza of DOOM Challenge
6 p.m. Event closes.
Sunday, August 9
10 a.m. Event begins.
12 p.m. Doughnuts of Death
1 p.m. Slaytanic Burrito Challenge
2 p.m. Chicken Wings of DOOM Challenge
3 p.m. The Wirst Nightmare
4 p.m. The Inferno Spicy Ramen
If these challenges sound like something you’d like to try, you can sign up to be a participant. Spaces are limited.
Tickets
Advance tickets are $15 per person. Children 10 and under attend for free with an adult. There’s also a craft beer package, which gets you three craft beer tokens, a limited edition poster and bottle of hot sauce for $40. There’s also a VIP package. Online tickets include processing fees. Tickets are also available at the gate for $20 per person.
The event is taking place at the OMSI Bridge Lot, 1945 SE Water Ave. in Portland. Parking at OMSI is $5. For more information and to buy tickets, visit the Portland Hot Sauce Expo website.
