The Oregon Zoo is reopening its gates to the public on December 26. Here’s what you need to know before planning your visit.
Limited admission days
The Oregon Zoo is currently open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends.
Ticket prices are $17.95 for ages 12 and up; $12.95 for children 3-11; and free for kids 2 and under. Qualifying visitors can receive discounted admission.
Timed entry reservations
All zoo guests, including members, must reserve timed tickets in advance online. Once you enter the zoo, you are welcome to stay as long as you like or until closing.
Tickets must be purchased online. General admission reservations are limited each day and only available up to 10 days in advance of your visit date. Purchases are limited to 10 tickets. Online reservations are required for all guests and members, including infants aged 2 or younger.
You will be asked to pick the day and time to visit, and receive an electronic ticket that can be printed or scanned from mobile phones when you arrive.
Your reservation time is your assigned arrival time. Guests are asked to arrive within 10 minutes of your scheduled time. The final time slot of the day is 1:30 p.m.
General admission ticket reservations are open. Visit the Oregon Zoo website to get your tickets.
Physical distancing
Staff will be stationed throughout the zoo to help monitor areas where lines can form. Physical distancing markers will be placed to assist guests in avoiding crowds. Zoo staff will clean high-touch surfaces like vending machines, tables and chairs throughout the day. If a guest feels sick before their reservation, the zoo asks that they not visit.
Face coverings required
The Oregon Zoo will require for everyone 5 years and older to wear a face covering while visiting. Ages 2-4 are encouraged to wear masks if possible. Guests are allowed to remove or lower their face covering when practicing appropriate physical distancing of 6 or more feet in designated locations and when eating or drinking.
Guests who are unable to wear a face covering for medical reasons can request an accommodation by contacting the zoo at 503-226-1561 (press 4) or oregonzoo@oregonzoo.org.
Outdoor experiences
Once inside, you will follow a one-way, mostly open-air path through the zoo. Some indoor and high-touch areas will remain closed. Explore the zoo map here.
