During July, Portland’s living room transforms into a free movie theater for all to enjoy. The annual Flicks on the Bricks at Pioneer Courthouse Square is back this year.
For three nights, the square will be transformed into Portland’s largest outdoor movie theater. Here are the details about this year’s event.

2022 Flicks on the Bricks
From Friday, July 22 through Sunday, July 24, movies will be shown on 12’x20’ LED screen at Pioneer Courthouse Square.
The LED screen will expand movie offerings into daytime hours for 10 free summer movie screenings over the three-day event.
The square will have free popcorn and movie snacks for the first 250 attendees at each showing. There’s also a limited number of comfortable theater-style seating. If you don’t get there in time to claim on of these seats, be sure to bring low-back chairs, blankets pillows, cushions or bean bags.
Each movie screening is free to attend. All seating is available on a first come, first serve basis.
