The VITA program offers free tax help to people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. United Way Worldwide has partnered with H&R Block to provide free tax filing services for federal and state taxes. Taxpayers earning less than $66,000 can enter their data through MyFreeTaxes.com.
