Every year, Sandy’s crown jewel park transforms into a magical holiday experience. Visit the holiday lights at Meinig Park this season.
The light display also hosts special events throughout the month. Here are the details about the holiday event.

Holiday Lights at Meinig Park
The holiday lights at Meinig Park are on every night from 6 to 9 p.m., November 21, 2025 through January 5, 2026.
The light display hosts five events this holiday season. All are free to attend. Here are the details about the events this year:
Tree Lighting
Friday, November 21 from 5:30-7 p.m.
Watch the unveiling of dazzling lights on the tree in Centennial Plaza and at Meinig Park.
Pet Pictures with the Grinch
Saturday, December 5 from 6-7:30 p.m
Take your family and pet pictures with the Grinch, visit the animals at the petting zoo and enjoy holiday treats.
Santa in Sandy
Friday, December 12 from 6-7:30 p.m.
Visit Santa and take your picture, drop off your Santa letters.
Shortest Day Walkway
Friday, December 19 from 6-7:30 p.m.
Take a scavenger hunt through the decorated park with stops at all of the City of Sandy’s department booths.
Holiday Happy Hour
Saturday, January 3, from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Enjoy drinks, food and the lights. This is a 21 and over event.
Free Trolley Rides
On December 6, 13, 21 and 22, there is a free trolley service at 5 and 6 p.m. starting at the Meinig Park lower parking lot.
The holiday light display is free to visit. Meinig Park is at 17670 Meinig Avenue in Sandy.
