Every year, Sandy’s crown jewel park transforms into a magical holiday experience. Visit the holiday lights at Meinig Park this season.
The light display also hosts special events throughout the month. Here are the details about the holiday event.

Holiday Lights at Meinig Park
The holiday lights at Meinig Park are on every night from 4 to 9 p.m. from December 2 through January 2. The lights are also turned on after the tree lighting ceremony on December 1 at 6 p.m.
The light display hosts five events in December. All are free to attend. Here are the details about the events this year:
Pet Pictures with the Grinch
Saturday, December 2 from 6-7:30 p.m
Take your family and pet pictures with the Grinch, visit the animals at the petting zoo and enjoy holiday treats.
Evening with the Snow Queen
Saturday, December 9 from 6-7:30 p.m
Listen to a holiday reading from the Snow Queen and music from the Sandy High School Band and Choir. You can also create a holiday craft.
Estampa y Santa
Saturday, December 16 from 6-7:30 p.m.
Visit Santa and take your picture, drop off your Santa letters and watch holiday performances by Estampa Mexicana.
Shortest Day Walkway
Thursday, December 21 from 6-7:30 p.m.
Take a scavenger hunt through the decorated park with stops at all of the City of Sandy’s department booths.
Holiday Happy Hour
Thursday, December 28 from 6-7:30 p.m.
Enjoy drinks, food and the lights. This is a 21 and over event.
Free Trolley
During the pet pictures, evening with the Snow Queen, Estampa y Santa and holiday happy hour events, there is a free trolley service running from 5-7 p.m. View the map of pickup locations throughout Sandy.
The holiday light display is free to visit. Meinig Park is at 17670 Meinig Avenue in Sandy.
