On the last Thursday of summer months, Alberta Street opens to foot traffic only for a unique arts and culture experience.

The Last Thursday Art Walk on Alberta Street invites the whole community to come out and enjoy the creativity of our city’s art, culture, music and food. The summer initiative celebrates, supports and showcases the diverse arts and culture community that calls Alberta Street home.

Plan on attending one of these events this summer.

Last Thursday Art Walk on Alberta Street

During the Last Thursday Art Walk on Alberta Street, you enjoy art galleries, street performances, live music, local arts and crafts vendors, food and fun activities. 

Alberta Street is home to many great restaurants and bars. You can have dinner, watch a variety of performances and see lots of different creations from local artists.  

The art walk on Alberta Street takes place on the last Thursday of the month. In June, July and August, the whole street is closed to vehicles from 15th-30th avenues and open to vendors and visitors. 

In 2026, the event is from 6-9 p.m. on these dates: 

• June 25
• July 30
• August 27

Last Thursday is open to all and free to attend. Street parking is free, but be prepared to park and walk to the event. You may prefer to take transit or a rideshare service to the event.

The event is held along NE Alberta Street from NE 15th to 30th Aves. in Portland. For more information, visit the event website.
