Lunar New Year Celebration at Washington Square is ringing in the Year of the Horse with a special event focusing on good fortune and happiness.
The mall joins a list of Lunar New Year Celebrations in Portland. Here are the details about the 2026 event.
Lunar New Year Celebration at Washington Square
The Lunar New Year Celebration at Washington Square is Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the mall’s summit court.
In celebration of the Lunar New Year, visitors can make traditional crafts, enjoy live performances and make a wish on red ribbon at the Wishing Tree.
Here’s the schedule:
- 11 a.m. Portland Puppet Museum presents “Legends of Ancient China and Jade Empress of China”
- 11:45 a.m. Portland Chinese School & the Yo-Yo Team
- 12 p.m. The Chinese Track of German International School
- 12:15 p.m. Korean Music Institute of Oregon (Kayageum Performance)
- 12:45 p.m. Hope Chinese Charter School
- 1 p.m. Art World School
- 1:30 p.m. YZ Dance Studio
- 2 p.m. Oregon Chinese Coalition
- 2:30 p.m. Winnie Dance Academy
- 3 p.m. Summit Wushu Academy
- 3:30 p.m. White Lotus Dragon & Lion Dance
This event is free to attend.
