2026 National Margarita Day

Tequila, triple sec, and lime on the rocks with a salted rim. Are you thirsty yet, my friends? Well, you’re in luck. National Margarita Day is Sunday, February 22, 2026, and I want to ensure you enjoy this special drink holiday in frugal fashion.

Here’s a list of places in the Portland area where you can get your drink on for cheap on National Margarita Day.

Many of these local restaurants require you to order food to accompany your cocktail, per OLCC guidelines. These restaurants and bars have several inexpensive food options to choose from, especially during happy hour.

2026 National Margarita Day

Blank Slate

From 4-6 p.m. every day, get a tequila, lime and agave margarita for $10.

Blank Slate Bar is at 7201 NE Glisan St Suite C in Portland.

Carlita’s

Visit during happy hour, 4-6 p.m. and 9 p.m.-close, for $9.50 cocktails, including the house margarita made with tequila, house-made sour, lime and choice of salt, sugar, or tajin. 

Carlita’s is at 1101 NW Northrup St. in Portland.

Cha Cha Cha

The local Mexican restaurant chain has house margaritas for $8 during happy hour, 3-6 p.m. The margarita of the day is made with agave tequila, fresh juice, orange liqueur with a salt rim.

Cha Cha Cha has six locations throughout the Portland area. 

Margarita Factory

During happy hour from 3-6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close and all day on Sunday, get a classic lime margarita for $8.50. Get it frozen for $8.99.

Margarita Factory has seven locations throughout the Portland metro.

McMenamins

In honor of National Margarita Day, McMenamins offers $2 off classic margaritas all day at all locations. 

Pepino’s Mexican Grill

From 3-6 p.m., get a margarita for just $4.75. Also, the regular price is $5.75.

Pepino’s has two locations: 914 NW 23rd Ave. and 3832 SE Hawthorne Blvd.

Por Que No?

Note: Happy hour is only available Monday-Friday. From 2:30-5 p.m. get $10 house margaritas. Margaritas are made of fresh-squeezed house citrus mix, tequila blanco and triple sec. 

There are two locations: 3524 North Mississippi Ave. and 4635 SE Hawthorne Blvd.

Rocio’s Mexican Restaurant

From 3:30-5:30 p.m., get $1 off house margaritas. With this discount, prices start at $8.

The restaurant is at 2850 SE Gladstone St. in Portland.

The Automatic Bar

During happy hour all day on Sunday, you can get the house margarita with tequila. house made sour and agave for $8. 

The bar is at 3652 SE Division St. in Portland. 

The Rambler

Note: happy hour is only available Monday-Friday. Get $1 off house margaritas until 6 p.m. The $10 marg is made with Pueblo Viejo tequila, lime, agave and salt rim on the rocks. Make it spicy with their jalapeño infused tequila.

The bar is at 4205 N. Mississippi Ave.

The Waypost

Choose from one of five different $9 margarita and pair it with $3 mom’s tacos with ground beef, lettuce and sour cream.

The bar is at 3120 N Williams Ave.

Bonus option: Applebee’s

This is not a margarita, but it is still a great deal. Here are two $6 drinks available at Applebee’s:

• Emerald Escape: A tropical mix of Jameson Irish Whiskey, Malibu Coconut Rum, melon liqueur, blue raspberry, pineapple juice and lime with a gold sugar rim.
• Pricklycane: A fruity twist on a NOLA hurricane with Bacardi Superior Rum, premium lemon sour, prickly pear, orange and pineapple juices with a gold sugar rim.

There are nine locations near Portland.
