This holiday season, Portland’s iconic Oregon Museum of Science and Industry brings you OMSI on Ice indoor skating. OMSI On Ice transforms the museum’s auditorium into a dazzling winter wonderland featuring a unique synthetic ice rink, offering all the fun of traditional skating without the chill.
What Is Synthetic Ice?
Don’t let the term “synthetic” fool you—this isn’t just any surface. OMSI’s rink is crafted from a high-density polymer designed to mimic the sliding and gliding experience of natural ice. The result? A seamless skating adventure that’s comfortable and indoors, so weather is never an issue.
Here’s how you can enjoy the new attraction.
OMSI on Ice: Skate Indoors at the Museum
OMSI on Ice invites visitors to skate at the museum from November 22-December 31, 2025. Whether you’re a seasoned skater or a beginner, the controlled indoor setting makes it fun for everyone.
Admission
- Adult (14+): $10
- Senior (63+): $9
- Youth (5-13): $8
Museum admission is not required to access the rink.
