As the holiday season approaches, the iconic Pittock Mansion in Portland is gearing up to transform into a Home for the Holidays, marking the return of its beloved annual Christmas display.
This year promises to be more enchanting than ever, with a festive theme that will transport visitors into a magical realm of holiday cheer.
Here are the details about the 2024 event:
A Pittock Mansion Christmas: Home for the Holidays
Pittock Mansion Christmas is November 18, 2024, through January 9, 2025. During the holidays, the mansion is adorned with whimsical decorations, thanks to the creative efforts of 75+ dedicated volunteer decorators. This cherished Portland tradition invites guests to immerse themselves in the joyous spirit of the season.
2024 Theme
The Pittock Mansion offers a one-of-a-kind Portland holiday experience. Enjoy the splendor and warmth of the mansion along with the charming Gate Lodge decorated with this year’s theme, Holiday Classics.
On select weekends, Santa is visiting the mansion as well as live musicians and choirs.
Bonus: Georgiana Pittock and the City of Roses
This year, visitors can also explore the latest featured exhibit: “Georgiana Pittock and the City of Roses.” The exhibit highlights the life of Georgiana Burton Pittock, beloved wife to Henry Pittock, who was one of the city’s early civic leaders and cultivator of Portland’s City of Roses identity.
Learn about Georgiana’s contributions, vision and tenacity that are woven into the city’s vibrant history.

Pittock Mansion Christmas is included in general admission, which includes admission to the mansion, the special exhibition in the mansion, Christmas displays and the Gate Lodge.
Here is the price of admission:
- $17 for adults
- $15 for seniors
- $13 for youth
- Children 5 and under attend for free.
To make the most of this enchanting experience, it is recommended to purchase timed tickets online in advance. Tickets are also available onsite.
The mansion is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Sunday and opens at noon on Tuesdays. It is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
If you want to add another fun activity to this visit, hike from Lower Macleay Trailhead up to the mansion.
