Portland’s Holiday Market is coming to town! Shop outside the big box at the Portland Expo Center.
Does this event sound familiar? Instead of the annual America’s Largest Christmas Bazaar, the Portland Expo Center is hosting the Portland Holiday Market. This new holiday shopping experience focuses on local makers.
Portland Holiday Market at the Expo Center
The Portland Holiday Market is taking place November 17 to 20 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The expo center’s 100,000 square feet will be filled with more than 300 exhibitors featuring handcrafted, artisan and unique items that can’t be found at big box stores.
Here’s a sample of what items you can expect at the Portland Holiday Market:
- Food items
- Home décor
- Craft items
- Leather goods
- Bath and body
On top of browsing the booths, stop by SantaLand to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus, snap a photo in front of the decorated live giant blue spruce, watch a Christmas movie, take a sip at the wine garden, and enjoy Beaverton Modular Train Club’s interactive display.
Ticket deal: There is currently a special ticket deal for Thursday, November 17, and Friday, November 18. The first 400 tickets sold on these select days will pay $20 (plus $4 processing fees) for two tickets and parking. This deal saves you $8. Get this special discount here.
Regular ticket prices are $10 for visitors 13 and older, plus a $2 processing fee. Kids 12 and under can attend for free. Your ticket will be valid for one day of the holiday market. Buy tickets for all days here.
The biggest downfall of events at the Portland Expo Center is the parking fee. You’ll pay $12 per vehicle. Free parking is available after 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. Another option is taking public transit. The MAX train drops you off a short walk from the expo center entrance.
